Therapeutic Swedish Massage
This is a strong Swedish style massage, with firm strokes and with some deep tissue work when needed to relax and soothe tension. The muscles are manipulated, stretched and loosened to release toxins and break up pain-causing deposits. The circulations of blood to nourish and lymph to cleanse are improved. There is an overall effect of well being and relaxation.

Clinical Deep Tissue
Some therapists offer this this intensely deep work if requested, to break up chronic adhesions and accumulations of tension in muscle fibers.

Sports Massage
This technique utilizes a combination of deep tissue work, including cross fibre friction, compression and trigger point therapy. Muscular strain and discomfort are minimized, and mobility and flexibility can be maintained and improved.
 
Acupressure
An ancient healing art of applying finger pressure to key points on the skin to stimulate the body's natural self-curative abilities. This touch reduces tension, increases circulation and relieves stress. This technique can be used within Swedish massage session.
 
Shiatsu
This Eastern technique involves stretching and breathing into movements, and is usually performed on a pad on the floor. Some therapists can include Shiatsu techniques on the table within a Swedish massage session.

Reflexology
A scientific technique of pressure based on an idea that all systems of the body have a reflex point on the foot which, when stimulated will open up energy lines and clear blockages to that system. This helps nature normalize conditions and relieves stress. Reflexology points can be stimulated during a Swedish massage session.

Pregnancy Massage
Specific techniques are used to relax and reduce aches and pains of the pregnant woman with special attention to comfort using bolsters and pillows for support.

Aromatherapy
Essential oils are specially selected for you, blended with a carrier oil, and applied along the energy meridians with a soothing massage technique. The oils are reputed to have great healing powers and can help the body function in harmony and balance.

Reiki
An ancient oriental art of hands on healing. Reiki means ray of light, or ray of universal life force energy.

Myofascial Release
This is an extremely mild and gentle form of stretching and unwinding of the fascia. Fascia surrounds every tissue and organ in the body, including nerves, muscle and bones, and is interconnected. Scarring and hardening of fascia after injury, inflammation, disease and surgery etc. Can put tension on nearby and faraway structures causing pain. MFR helps release these tensions often having a profound effect on all body tissues.

Trigger Point Therapy/Myotherapy
Sustained, firm pressure is applied to highly irritable points, trigger points in taut muscle bands. When points are relieved, passive stretching is recommended to retain flexibility.

Lymphatic Drainage Techniques
To accelerate the flow of the lymphatic fluids helping to rid the body of toxins and waste materials Trager. This is a series of rocking movements designed to create the sensation of lightness and freedom. No oils or lotion, clients are partially clothed.

Facial Muscle Massage

This technique of massaging the muscles of the face helps maintain elasticity of the skin, relax muscles to give rested appearance, flush toxins and restore a healthy glow to the face.

All modalities of massage are systems of treatments in which the practitioner uses his/her hands to bring about beneficial changes in the client's body. The complex relationship between the mind and body has been established, and all massage therapies promote treating the body, mind and emotions as a "whole", treating clients holistically.
